"Pure and genuine
religion in the sight of the Father means caring for
orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let
the world corrupt you".

Welcome
to our orphan home in Battambang, Cambodia!
We currently have
40 children living in our orphan home; they
receive food, clothing, health care, education,
spiritual direction and are cared for by a couple (their
“mom” and “dad”) who live with them at the orphan home.
The orphan home is also looked over by a local Director
who is able to analyze their current needs.
If you would like to
be a sponsor,
please contact us at
asiashope@westviewbiblecurch.ca
In 2007, Asia's
Hope (http://asiashope.org)
opened this orphan home in Battambang, Cambodia's
second-largest city. This facility, which at capacity will
house nearly 50 children, is funded through a partnership
with Westview.
Suffering
from a legacy of genocide and
corruption,
Cambodia is one of the world's poorest
countries. Tens of thousands of young children
are forced to beg on Phnom Penh's dusty
streets or sell their bodies as underage
prostitutes.

FAQ
What are the Costs of Sponsoring a Child?
The actual cost of all that is
provided to one child is $76 per month. Since we realize
that this may not be affordable to a lot of people, we do
something called a double-sponsorship, where one child can
have two sponsors and each sponsor can make a donation of
$38/month instead. In this way, you have the option of
taking a full sponsorship or sharing it with someone else.
You do not need to find a second sponsor for your child;
we take care of matching up sponsors. However, if you wish
to share sponsorship of a child with one specific person
or family, simply let us know.
What is the method of payment?
You can choose to pay by an annual
check of $456 (or $912 for a full sponsorship), or by a
pre-authorized electronic fund transfer, where the monthly
amount would come out of your account automatically on the
15th of every month. In this case, we will
provide you with a form to be signed authorizing Asia’s
Hope Canada to withdraw the specified monthly amount. The
form is to be sent to us along with a void check.
How
do I get started?
It’s very simple! Simply contact us
at
asiashope@westviewbiblechurch.ca letting us know of
your interest to sponsor a child. We will ask for your
contact information and will provide you with a picture
and biography (background) card of your sponsored child
along with the payment documentation to be sent to the
Asia’s Hope Canada address: 2000 Mansfield, suite 220,
Montreal, H3A 2Y8.
If
I do not wish to sponsor a child, how else can I
contribute or get involved?
There are several ways in which one
can help and support this ministry:
-
Prayers
-
General Fund/Non-recurring Donations
-
Mission trips
-
Volunteering
Please
visit
www.asiashope.org or contact us at
by email at
asiashope@westviewbiblechurch.ca for more information
on these.
How
do we celebrate our sponsored child’s birthday?
Asia’s Hope has established a
Birthday Celebration Fund. Anyone would be welcome to make
a donation to this fund in honor of the sponsored child’s
birthday. Our offices will send these donations to the
orphanage administrators to be used to purchase special
treats to be enjoyed by all the children. Giving to the
Birthday Celebration Fund is completely optional and can
be sent at any time throughout the year.
May
we correspond with our sponsored child?
Letters are delivered to the children
by the ministry team during their visits to the orphanage.
How
do we send a package to our sponsored child?
Due to transportation and shipping
constraints, no packages are sent to the orphanages from
the U.S. or Canada. The administration at each facility is
able to purchase needed items with monies transferred from
the Asia’s Hope offices. Gifts of small, flat items could
be sent with the ministry teams during their visits; these
might include stickers, pictures, bookmarks or coloring
pages.
May
we visit our sponsored child?
As are hoping that in the near
future, we as a Church will send a group of people twice a
year to the orphanage. More information will follow.
