WHY ARE WE GOING?
There are so many Cambodian
orphaned or abandoned children still living on the
streets. Many children end up working in slave labor or
are forced into the sex trade. We support an orphanage
in Battambang, Cambodia where over 40 children were
rescued from the streets. They now have a place to
sleep, plenty of food to eat, clean clothing, a school
to attend, they can play happily and they have loving
adults to care for them.
We will be visiting our
orphanage to bridge the gap between us and them. We want
to show the children that they are part of our family,
how much we love them and we care about their future.

QUI SOMMES NOUS?
Nous sommes une équipe de 12
personnes, 7 adolescents et 5 adultes, de l’Église
Biblique Westview située à Pierrefonds, QC, qui se
soucie du sort des enfants au Cambodge. Notre équipe se
rendra à Battambang au Cambodge en juin 2010 avec
Asia’s Hope, une organisation non-confessionnelle qui
gère plusieurs orphelinats au Cambodge et en Thaïlande.
POURQUOI Y ALLONS-NOUS?
Il y a encore tellement
d’orphelins Cambodgiens qui vivent dans les rues.
Plusieurs enfants sont forcés à travailler comme
ouvriers esclave ou dans le commerce du sexe. Nous
parrainons un orphelinat à Battambang au Cambodge où 40
enfants sont secourus de la rue. Ils ont maintenant un
endroit où dormir, de la bonne nourriture, des vêtements
propres, ils vont à l’école, ils ont de la joie dans le
cœur et ils ont des parents affectueux qui prennent soin
d’eux.
Nous allons visiter notre
orphelinat et créer des liens solides entre eux et
nous. Nous voulons montrer aux enfants qu’ils font
partie de notre famille, comment nous les aimons et que
nous avons a cœur leur futur.
